Software Developer
Job Description:
CardioComm Solutions Inc. is looking for a full time Senior Software Developer to add to our core technology team. This will involve work with our industry leading Global ECG Management System (GEMS). GEMS is installed in over 500 customers internationally, primarily in North America. CardioComm is currently increasing the distribution of the GEMS line.
The vision for the product line is to complete several projects currently on the books and to then move forward with an upgrade for the whole platform.
The successful applicant will take the lead in leading the development team on the GEMS product line and take the lead in preparing and implementing the migration plan of the code to newer platform and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining current VB code base
- Building plan to upgrade code to new platform
- Initially developing code for interfaces with new ECG devices and interfaces to electronic medical records
- Creating code documentation – specifications and design documents.
- Assisting Customer Support in troubleshooting and investigation of on-site issues.
Essential Qualifications:
- 5 or more years experience using VB and knowledge of current platforms such as .NET.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Bachelor degree in Sciences, Engineering or Computer Science; or technical diploma or certificate in IT or Computer Science. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

- Practical experience with VB, C#, .NET,
